As a DevOps Engineer at Sambla Group, you will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining the infrastructure of our highly successful monolithic application, which handles significant traffic volumes. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to continuously enhance the system, ensuring it meets evolving business needs and leverages the latest technological advancements.

This role offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing business-driven web applications while designing and implementing complex solutions from the ground up. You will play a key role in automating processes, improving deployment pipelines, and enhancing system reliability.

Experience

• 3+ years work experience within managing LAMP hosted web applications as a devOps engineer or similar role, or proven experience showing that you have:
• Strong technical understanding and experience. Can pick things up as they are and take responsibility for that.
• Strong working experience with communication, understanding of business requirements and stakeholder management.

Must haves

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proven experience in LAMP stack management and development (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
• Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud hosting services.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to haves

• Familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Laravel managed services (e.g., Forge, Envoyer) a plus.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation tasks.
• Experience with OPSEC specifically Blue teaming
• Desire to learn and understand business requirements and stakeholder management
